A Night With The Knights
Baseball has been called the most perfect game. It is a blend of speed and deliberation, of strategy and spontaneity. It is a game of innovation withing tradition (Designated Hitter be damned to Hell).
So when I got the opportunity to shoot the Charlotte Knights in their final season after a several decade run in Fort Mill before moving into a brand new stadium in Center City, I wanted my photography to incorporate many of those same perfections. I wanted to go beyond simply capturing action shots and attempting to capture tradition and history and the long running story of the game that gets passed along every time it is played.
So this is hopefully the first in a series of photographic stories about baseball.
